Excellent service! Melonie, our bartender/server, was as spicy as the hot salsa and wasted no time in taking our order! Our food was served hot and quick and she made sure all of our drinks stayed full

Always have a great experience when I go here. Food is great, atmosphere is great. Services is always great too, we went not long ago and had a great waitress very attentive and very nice. If you go ask for Mercedez! All around great place!

Go see Sis ( Melonie) she is the best! She will keep you laughing all night with her hilarious personality and she’s definitely easy on the eyes !! She’s the best!! I've been eating here for a few years now. I even stay in Poteau for the sole purpose of eating at this place. I say that to preface my review, and the reason I'm giving a score of 4 instead of 5. Upon arrival, the staff is pretty great at greeting you, getting you into a seat, bringing the chips, salsa, taking your drink order and asking if you want cheese dip. The soda machine seems to be very hit or miss, and more often in the last few visits, mostly miss. Pepsi seems to always taste off or be mixed poorly and is bitter. The chips sometimes seem like they've been left out for a while. The oil is old. I can't really figure out the combination that's causing the off taste. The staff at times seems to be more interested in socializing than paying attention to their tables, unless you're part of their circle. It's usually not that busy but there have been quite a few times where I've sat with an empty glass for a while. The beans are bland. Always. They used to put potatoes in their beef and it was legit the best thing ever. I was totally addicted to it! I dunno why they stopped but they did, and I'm completely bummed about it. I know prices are going up everywhere but it's frustrating that the quality of the food and the overall experience has diminished while the prices have increased. The food does come out quickly and I mostly overlook any faults that I find, but if management reads these reviews at all, I hope you'll listen and make changes to get back to the taste and experience that motivates me to drive hours out of my way just to eat at LA Huerta. TL;DR Soda is not great. Beans are bland. Chips are off. Social hour with the staff tends to mean less attention. Prices increase while overall taste/experience decreases.

Had a great experience! Food came out a little later than expected, but I had great service to pass the time. Wasn't even upset! I'm pretty sure our server's name was Alicia. Nice girl!

Tamale was tiny, horrible flavor- sent it back. They were gracious enough to take it off the bill. The shrimp cocktail was amazingly delicious! Our server was friendly and prompt with bringing the food out and very funny

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything came out quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Mercedes, was absolutely amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in at the perfect times. Highly recommend!
